Pardon the Mess; and Welcome!
Hey Guys in PIT,
I'm working on re-purposing this old blog of P. Jon's so that we can use it to discuss what we are reading in P.I.T. (pastors in training). That way we can interact on more than a 1 time a month basis. This should allow us to have even more in-depth discussions when we meet each month.
If you all can go out and get "Spiritual Leadership" by J. Oswald Sanders, before our next meeting that would be great. I spoke with Jon, and we agreed to give this book a chance. This book is a great classic on Pastoral Ministry, and should be a good springboard for us to consider our service to the church.
Here's a link to bookfinder, so that you all can get it cheap! (bookfinder is a used/new book search engine... it's amazing!) You can type the book into the home page. Used copies are between $1-4, and new starts around $11.
Last thing: The blog will be getting a 'facelift' here in the next week, so make sure to let me know if you see any problems, or things that really drive you crazy. You all should have the ability to comment and create new posts. (so, we can start talking now....)

Thank you Eric, I love knowing we have a talented, gifted, nerdy-computer genious running this blog for us! I am very excited about this group and blog; I pray God uses them both to grow us all in the grace and knowledge of Him.
